Lobus
Diagnostic description:
The genus Lobus is primarily distinguished from other Leptogastrinae by the shape of the male terminalia. Additional features are the short postpedicel (distal part of the antennae) and generally enlarged hind femora. So far, 32 species are known to science.
Distribution:
The genus Lobus is restricted to the Old World. It was originally described from sub-Saharan Africa, India, and Indonesia (Irian Yaja), but has now been found also in the Canary Islands (Spain), Europe, Japan, Madagascar, New Caledonia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
