Leptopteromyia
Diagnostic description:
The genus Leptopteromyia is distinguished from other Leptogastrinae by the narrow wings, which are stalked slightly similar to Eurhabdus, and the very slender and elongated abdomen. So far, 8 species are known to science.
Distribution:
The genus Leptopteromyia is restricted to the New World and occurs from the southern USA to northern Argentina.
