Head: black; face yellow pruinose, facial gibbosity distinct, mystax white, many macrosetae; ocellar tubercle apruinose; occiput silver pruinose, setae white
Antennae: scape brown, setae white; pedicel brown, setae brown, white pruinose; postpedicel brown, white pruinose proximally; apical 'seta-like' sensory element light brown
Thorax: black; scutum predominantly black, 2 antero-lateral spots orange-red, transversal ridges distinct medially, lateral and posterior margins white pruinose, only few white setae scattered on anterior, lateral, and posterior margins, macrosetae: white, 1 notopeural seta, 1 supra-alar seta, 1 post-alar seta; scutellar silver pruinose, discal scutellar setae and scutellar setae long, white
Legs: red-orange to brown; femora red-orange, metathoracic femora pale yellow proximally, clubbed; tibiae brown, yellow stripe not reaching tip anteriorly; empodium about a quarter of length of claws
Wings: proximal half with few microtrichiae, distal half densely covered with microtrichiae; pterostigma indistinct, light brown; discal cell terminating in 2 veins; halteres light brown
Abdomen: orange to black; tergites often orange on anterior and lateral margins, sometimes entirely black, grey pruinose, T1 with white setae, T2 with few white setae laterally, sternites grey pruinose
Male terminalia: surstylus pointed distally, lobes dorsally and ventrally; hypandrium ventral margin straight; dorsal aedeagal sheath tubular, hook-shaped; lateral apodeme bifurcated.
