Beameromyia
Diagnostic description:
The genus Beameromyia has some of the smallest species of Leptogastrinae. The males can be easily identified based on the male terminalia, but females can be confused with females of the genus Psilonyx. So far, 25 species are known to science.
Distribution:
The genus Beameromyia is restricted to the New World and occurs from the USA in the north to Central America in the south. The highest species diversity is found in the western USA and the Caribbean. Yet scientifically undescribed species are known from Central and South America.
