Head: black; face silver pruinose, facial gibbosity indistinct, mystax white, 6 macrosetae; ocellar tubercle white pruinose dorsally; occiput silver pruinose, few white setae
Antennae: scape and pedicel brown, setae brown; postpedicel brown, white pruinose; apical 'seta-like' sensory element brown
Thorax: brown; scutum brown, predominantly apruinose, anterior, lateral, and posterior margins silver pruinose, few white setae on pruinose area, brown setae on posterior margin, macrosetae: black, 1 notopeural seta, 1 supra-alar seta; scutellar silver pruinose, discal scutellar setae and scutellum long, brown
Legs: yellow and light brown; femora yellow proximally, brown distad; tibiae light brown, yellow stripe not reaching tip anteriorly; empodium short
Wings: hyaline, brown stained; pterostigma distinct, brown; discal cell terminating in 2 veins; halteres brown
Abdomen: brown; tergites predominantly apruinose, lateral and posterior margins white pruinose, T1 with black setae, T2 with white long setae laterally, remaining tergites with short white setae, female T8 apruinose
Male terminalia: male specimens unknown.
The species is distinguished, together with nenemusha and schoutedeni, from congeners by the overall brown colour, the predominantly apruinose scutum, and the apruinose T8 in the females. This species is so far only known from females.
Type locality: DR Congo, Upemba National Park, Lusinga (08°55'S 027°11'E).
Afrotropical Region: DR Congo, Uganda.
